Marynn

So, as you already know, I have a fascination for illustrations. As a photographer I have the knowledge to take photos capturing moments, expressions and emotions. Sometimes is easy some other no so, but at the end, it's the luck of the photographer to be at the right moment to take those pictures.
For an illustrator the challenge is different because they need to create something from scratch and I think is fantastic. In Marynn's case it's the way she brings out her expressions and tells you a story. I love the colors she uses and the way she draws has so much realism.

DEW Magazine - Spring Burning

Today I saw this publication at DEW Magazine and I loved the style captured in all photos.
Back to spring theme, the inspiration comes from Vivienne Westwood, an Alexander McQueen, a bit of Robert Rodriguez, Yohji Yamamoto and David Peck. Creating exotic looks with flower prints, fluorescent colors, short dresses, long socks, with a little touch of pastel colors.
I'm so excited to know that spring it's almost here, and we are going to be able to wear that kind of sexy and fun clothes!

Carine Brancowitz

I want you to know that I'm so into illustrations this days. I think it is the new concept to show fashion trends, mixing with photos, inspired at the same time by music and art.
Carine is a french artist; she knows how to make art using just pens of different colors. She can make this master pieces full of dynamism, with textures and impressive detail. I think she is amazing, and her ability to create unique scenes is surprising. It seems that she creates a new story in every drawing that she makes... you just need to let your mind tell you what's happening or what is about to happen!

New York City

New York gave me an experience that I will never forget. This city is magical, the streets are a constant picture scene. It was my first time here and I love it!
The street fashion is fantastic, I was kind of happily surprised about the way people dress, everybody has such a nice style... of course it helps a lot that the stores are so in vogue that you can't mess up jeje.
A lot of persons told me that New Yorkers are kind of lonely and struggle with making friends. I had so much luck because everywhere I went, people used to treat me really well, and I think they are really nice!
It is a shame that I did not have more time get to know the city, but I enjoyed every second that I had to absorb NY's charm!

I come from one of the worlds biggest cities, so I felt comfortable in the buzz of NY... I loved to see people rushing to work, the crowed subway, eating on street corners and the endless cueing up to get what you need.. It's so interesting to see the culture mix and how it combines together.

The sky buildings are unique, I remembered to been walking and realized how small we are... the arquitecture is magnificent! My eyes become a camera and I just grab every scene that happens in front of me.
Time Square is so shiny, it's like in the movies, so Broadway style! Theaters, shops, bars, restaurants and big advertisements everywhere... make it an incredible place! I had the opportunity to stay really near from it, so I enjoyed to make a little shopping down there too...

So many thing to tell about NY... I could write a book about it! jajaja... All I can say that it is exactly how I imagined it, an amazing City!
I hope that I will have the opportunity to come back and see more of the Big Apple. I know that in this city I will find so many new places to photograph.

Fashion Week Backstage at NY City

Back home, I had the time to realize how fantastic it was to be at NY FW 2012! My emotions involved happiness, excitement, satisfaction and an enormous professional realization.

I was at Lincoln Center covering the whole fashion week and I enjoyed it 100%! It's crazy to see how people love fashion... in other words, how they love to live fashion!
For me, fashion is a mix of colors, poses, faces, textures, forms, expressions and designs. I don't have enough words to describe the inspirations that come into my mind when I looked at the people that enjoy fashion as much as I do.
Taking pictures, I had the opportunity to open my eyes to something that  was not in my daily life. One thing that I learned during this fashion week, is that you can enjoy it no matter who you are... fashion is everywhere, you just need to feel it and let it get into your life!
