Sweet as Candy... Pink Magnolia

It is most important to any fashion brand that the designers have the vision to create something authentic. Even though this is the main challenge of every designer, only few are able to create something that is unique and incomparable.

To reach that goal was something natural to the Wong sisters. Mainly because of their dedication and love for fashion, they were able to create a brand full of potential to become the next big thing.
Their interest in clothing and fashion started when as kids they sewed together with their Grandma, which to them was almost like a game. But it was until Pavo went to live in Hawaii, when she realised that the Mexican fashion industry just had way less creative designs to offer, compared to other countries like for example her Japanese friends who wore clothes that were completely different and highly fashionable.

Upon return, she started her fashion design career with the vision in mind to create something different to what one could find in an environment that lacks new proposals in fashion. During her studies, Pavo created Pink Magnolia and took it to another level since the beginning; she wanted her designs to be accessible to the public rather than being left alone in a showroom. That's why from the start she also focussed on where and how to sell her designs.

During her second stay abroad, Pavo realised how much she cared about the project and felt a strong need to return and continue doing what she loved most. That was when she took her sister Pamela on board, and in addition to the instant chemistry between the both of them, Pam's business knowledge contributed strongly to the evolution of the brand as a company.

It's been three years now since Pink Magnolia appeared on the map and the goals have definitely been reached. One of their biggest steps to strengthen the brand was when they got the opportunity to present their first collection "Chicas Dolores FW'11" at the Mercedes Benz FW, reaching the high ranked people of the fashion industry. They recently launched their own Blog where they publish exclusive news about the brand and it is the place where their followers can appreciate the process and work involved in each of their collections.
