Quién dice que estudiar otras cosas no nos harán mas completos para la profesión que hagamos durante toda la vida?
En su momento el ballet formó parte de su pasión y de un sueño que se convertiría en su profesión, pero un accidente hizo que Andrea tuviera que buscar nuevas alternativas de vida. Por otro lado, desde muy pequeña, siempre se diferenció de la gente por voltear a ver cosas que no tenían un valor importante...

"Yo me acuerdo que en navidad o en mi cumpleaños cuando recibía regalos, siempre terminaba jugando con las cajas o las envolturas y dejaba a un lado los juguetes o lo que me habían regalado en ese momento". Andrea César

Cuando tuvo que escoger o tomar la decisión de cual sería la carrera que estudiaría, intento buscar algo que tuviera que ver con la necesidad de estar o crear cosas diferentes y de mantener su amor por el ballet. El diseño textil fue su mejor opción ya que en el, podía encontrar la disciplina de crear nuevas atmósferas por medio de telas y confecciones.
El diseño se volvió un constante reto para crear diversas piezas, las cuales comenzaron a ser reconocidas en su mismo entorno. Fue de esa manera que la marca Macadamia surgió, como una identidad que le diera presencia a su trabajo como diseñadora.

Macadamia representa un reto para diseñar lo que ella es como artista, en donde utiliza su imaginación para involucrarse en la idea de sus clientes y de esa manera poder plasmarlo en sus creaciones aportando cosas nuevas. Ese proceso es muy importante para poder investigar y adentrarse en las ideas que vienen de su mente para poder lograr cosas únicas y diferentes.

Algo que me encantó de Andrea es que tiene una visión diferente, en cuanto al trabajo en equipo. Para ella, la colaboración es básica ya que uno solo no puede cubrir las necesidades de todos. Es por eso que de ahí nació su proyecto Sector Macadamia (concept store) donde junto con otros artistas, propone mostrar a la moda de una manera mas divertida y versátil. En esta tienda se encuentran marcas mexicanas y extranjeras donde convive una atmósfera diversa de cultura mezclada con arte.

Para ella la competencia no existe, es mas bien, que todos puedan aportar cosas que los distingan como individuos y de esa manera, poder dar mas sabores a la mezcla que hará la chispa perfecta en la moda!

At that time ballet was part of her life and a it was her dream that this would become her profession, but an accident forced Andrea to find new ways in life. On the other hand, since she was a kid, she was always different than other people, while appreciating things that didn't seem to have any significant value ...

"I remember that when I received gifts for Christmas or my Birthday, I always ended up playing with the boxes and wraps and put aside the toys or what I had been given at that time." Andrea César

When she had to choose and make the decision on what to study, she tried to find something that had to do with her need to create different things and to keep her love for ballet. Textile design was the best option, because she could find in it the discipline to create new atmospheres through fabric and garments.

Design became a constant challenge to her by creating various pieces which were recognised in her surroundings. That's why she founded the brand Macadamia, in order to give more presence to her work as a designer.

Macadamia represents a challenge to design what she is as an artist, where she uses her imagination to grasp the idea of ​​her clients and to translate it into a creation that brings to life something new. The process of investigation is very important to her so that the ideas that come from her mind achieve something unique and different.

Something that impressed me about Andrea is that she has a different vision in terms of teamwork. For her, collaboration is essential because one can not meet everyone's needs. That's why her project Sector Macadamia (concept store) was born in order to collaborate with other artists. Her idea is to share fashion in a more fun and versatile way. The shop offers space for mexican as well as for foreign brands and they all share a different atmosphere and culture mixed with art.

To her, competition does not exist... she wants everyone to contribute things that distinguish each as an individual. That's how the group of artists is able to give more flavor to the mix that will definitely make the perfect spark in fashion!

Leticia Llera

Es importante saber de donde venimos, en donde comenzó nuestro camino por alcanzar los sueños y que hicimos para convertirlos en proyectos de vida.

Este es el caso de Leticia Llera, una artista llena de inspiración y pasión por su trabajo. Socióloga de profesión, Lety inició su camino en la orfebrería. El arte formo parte de su vida desde muy niña ya que su madre (pintora de profesión), reflejo el motivo perfecto para crear y encontrar sentido a todo lo que la rodeaba.

Qué está pasando?... nada?, como que nada!, pues que puedes hacer con éso?. Esas eran las preguntas frecuentes de su madre a Lety y a todos sus hermanos, preguntas desafiantes que envolvían a cada uno de ellos con las diferentes manifestaciones de arte que podían crear.

Lety emplea su tiempo en dibujar, soñar y plasmar todo lo que viene del gusto por la orfebrería. Su constante alimento para el alma es sentir esa pasión por lo que hace. Para ella es muy importante el integrar sus experiencias de vida con sueños y de esa manera, experimentar nuevas técnicas para  descubrir cosas nuevas o diferentes. Dice que una joyería sin volumen o textura no tiene vida.

Ella piensa que el motor de generación está en la pasión que tenemos por lo que hacemos, sin importar la profesión que sea. Algo que me gusto mucho y en lo que estoy de acuerdo con ella, es que México es un país de artesanos, en donde tenemos la suerte de vivir rodeados de una identidad con raíces y tradiciones muy fuertes. Somos un país con una de las culturas más ricas del mundo, solo que no sabemos canalizarlas al 100%.



Su filosofía de vida nos invita a enamorarnos de nuestro trabajo de tal forma que podamos defender esa visión, haciendo que adquiera un valor extra... la diferencia está en hacer camino, no en seguirlo...

This is the case of Leticia Llera, an artist full of inspiration and passion for her work. She began her professional journey as sociologist, but soon jewelry became her priority. Art has been part of her life ever since she was young and her mother (professional painter), reflected the perfect reason to create and find a meaning in everything around her.

What's going on?... nothing?, nothing!, So, what's the purpose of that?. Those were the frequent questions Lety and her brothers were asked by her mother, challenging questions that surrounded each of them, which somehow made ​​them work as a turning point for creating different art manifestations.

Lety spends her time drawing, dreaming and realizing everything that comes from her love for jewels. Her constant soul food is to feet that passion for what she does. For her it is very important to integrate her life experiences with dreams and in this way, experiment with all kinds of techniques to discover something new or different. To her, a jewel without volumen or texture has no life.

She thinks that the motor that drives us, is in the passion for what we do, no matter what profession it is. Something I really liked and what I agree with it, is that Mexico is a country of handcraft, where we are lucky to live surrounded by an identity that has very strong roots and traditions. We are a country with one of the richest cultures in the world; but we are struggling to channel it at 100%.

Her philosophy of life invites us to fall in love with our work so that we can live our vision and dream. This adds extra value to it... therefore what makes the difference is to pave the way, not just to follow it...

Dany DOh Reciclaje

A veces dicen que el estudiar algo en específico, será lo que te hará feliz o a lo que te dedicaras el resto de tu vida. Otras personas piensan que la vida da muchas vueltas y que en ese trayecto podemos encontrar otros caminos que nos llevarán a la felicidad.

Este es el caso de Dany, una chica mexicana con una carrera en administración de empresas; ella, entre otras cosas, experimenta y disfruta del diseño industrial hoy en día.

"Para mi la administración no era la forma adecuada de expresarme ya que en el area corporativa estaba involucrada en la generación de ideas para una mejor comercialización del producto, más no en el objeto en si". Dany DOh

Al mudarse de casa, surgió la necesidad de escoger sus propios muebles, desarrollando un gusto por crear y modificar lo ya hecho por algo mejor o simplemente que fuera más de su gusto.

La puerta se abrió, encontrando un nuevo camino hacia donde dirigir su lado creativo y su gusto por el diseño. Así emprendió su viaje por el mundo, el cual le sirvió para infiltrarse en el diseño y concepto de cosas nuevas. Entre Copenhagen, Estocolmo, Milán, París, Turquía y Londres, se pudo dar cuenta del re-uso de cosas viejas con modificaciones que las hacían ver más modernas o conceptuales. Su cabeza estalló en un mundo lleno de ideas nuevas con la necesidad de encontrar inspiración en casi cada cosa que pasaba frente a sus ojos.

Esta mexicana creó su propia empresa llamada DOh Reciclaje en donde podemos ver su arte reflejado en muebles con su propia inspiración. Estas piezas únicas lo hacen más llamativo y creativo ya que cada una refleja su creatividad y su amor por el arte.

DOh Reciclaje es una empresa llena de pasión, cuyo objetivo es dar nueva vida a objetos viejos, reflejando el arte creativo y experimental de lo que quedó y de lo que puede llegar a ser.

Most people say that studying something specific will make you happy and most probably you will spend the rest of your life working in the same field. Others thinks that the trials and tribulations of one's life can lead you to other ways that will make you happy... 

That is the case with Dany, a Mexican girl holding a degree in business administration, but decided to experiment other things and can be proud to lead her own business today, Dany DOh, a small enterprise in the industrial design sector.

"For me, the administration was not the appropriate way to express myself because in the corporate area I was involved in the generation of marketing ideas for the product, but not in the object itself". Dany DOh

Her switch happened no too long ago when she moved out for her parent's place. She suddenly found herself in the position to choose her own furniture and she developed an urge to create and modify the pieces she was decorating her flat with. Her idea was to improve different furniture to make them fit her own personal taste.  

That's when she made up her mind and found a new way to develop her creative side and taste for design. While traveling through Europe, from Copenhagen to Stockholm, Milan, Paris, Turkey and back to London, she found the inspiration for her concept to re-use old things, modifying them so that they look more modern or conceptual. Her mind exploded into a world full of new ideas with new needs to find inspiration in almost everything that passed in front of her eyes.

Back in Mexico she decided to create her own small company DOh Recycle. The basic concept is to design furniture and give it her personal touch by remodeling them. The unique pieces she puts on sale on her website are not only more trendy and creative than they were before; they also reflect her own creativity and love for art. where we can see reflected her art furniture with her own inspiration. These unique pieces make it more attractive and creative as each reflects her own creativity and love for art. DOh Recycle is a company full of passion, which objective is to give second life to old objects, reflecting a creating and experimental vision in something old, and transforming it in something completely new.
