Lacoste SS'16

Hi there!! So, for the ones that follow me through twitter or instagram may knew that I'd have been working non stop for the last couple of weeks at NYFW. This time I was shooting photos from backstage of amazing runways, capturing some street style and collaborating with a famous fashion blogger called "The double denim". 

It's kind of hard to keep you posted cause there is so much going on that I barely had time to breathe jajaja. From Kate Spade, Lacoste, Rachel Zoe, Tommy Hilfiger, Diesel, All Saints, Rosie Assoulin and Rodebjer, I was literally jumping around the city from one place to another.

So, I wanted to show you my favorite runway that I had the privilege to cover...

Lacoste is by far one of my fav collections for SS'16. It transcended their sportswear, but didn't leave it behind entirely. It was a explosion of pattern and color block outfits, combined with prints and big logos. This season's show had a modern, sporty yet and sexy mood that I just absolutely loved!   

Gesichter - Native Nest

There are a lot of talented, creative people in this world and it's always a pleasure when you get the opportunity to meet them to absorb and enjoy their work. Recently I had the privilege to interview Interior Designer Samantha Heyl. Full of new fresh and hip ideas, she is without a doubt a one of kind artist.

Born in Richmond VA and in love with her city, Sam grew up developing a strong connection towards nature, and later in life towards art. Both with she combines to design the most amazing objects, adornments and jewelry.

Holiday Wardrobe 2014 - PART I

Today, let me introduce you to Pablo Parra. Besides of being a graphic designer, Pablo also has an amazing blog, called Fungi Express, where he shows his passion for fashion illustrations. You already know how much I love illustrations, so when I saw Pablo's work I invited him to collaborate with me on this special post. Hope you like it...!!!

The best time of the year is officially here! And no, this time it is not about the season of giving and spending time with family, what I'm referring to is the Holiday party season! Whether your plan is to be naughty or nice this party season, you want to look good, right? This is why I decided to create four different holiday wardrobes to inspire you what to wear on these occasions.
My rule is to focus on one feature piece and add other simple (basic) elements to your outfit.
Over the years I've accrued a number of pieces that usually come out around this time of the year, but it wouldn't be the party season without adding a few new piece.

Here go the first two outfits, enjoy!

Something sparkly
Que otro día del año podemos usar prendas que nos hagan brillar casi como arbolito de navidad (bueno, tal vez Vegas)? Si usar algo brillante te hace sentir un poco nerviosa, escoge una prenda que tenga reflejos brillantes y combinala con piezas básicas que te harán resaltar sin hacerte sentir como disco ball. Yo en esta ocasión escogí unos pantalones con textura brillante de H&M y los combine con una sudadera de neopreno y unos zapatos de holograma. Puedes agregarle algo divertido, como este gorro de Mickey mouse, para darle el toque fiestero. // What other time of the year can you dress like a christmas ornament (well, maybe Vegas)? If dressing wearing something sparkly makes you feel a little nervous, one options is to pair your shiny item with simple separates and accessories. I picked the textured sparkly pants by H&M and I styled it with a neoprene sweatshirt and hologram heeled sandals. Added something fun to get the "party mood", like I did with this Mickey mouse hat.

Altuzarra Collection for Target

This has to be one of the best collaboration collection for Target. The collection is a mix of sexy business and evening wear with prices ranging from $18 to $90 dollars. The Altuzarra collection will also feature heels and boots just in time for the new season. This limited collection is one that you don't want to miss. Altuzarra will be adding suits, python prints, maxi dress, over knee boots, blouses, pencil skirts and so much more.
The collection will be available online at Target online and select Target stores September 14th, so be ready to mark it on your calendar.

Prefall 2014 is here and fashion editorials already started to show what this season will bring. #TheSeptemberIssue will show all the best campaigns and editorials with new awesome trends to follow.

It's been a while I have not posted about editorials that inspire me for my work. So, that is why I wanted to choose a special one to share with you. In the August issue from Harper's Bazaar Mexico I found an incredible editorial shot by Danny Cardozo called "ODISEA".

Graphic polka dots, unexpected pleats and abstract geometric digital prints gave FENDI's Resort 2015 collection an awesome look. On this occasion, the brand kept in its domain furs, leather, deep jewel tones adding a refreshing spin through pattern and accessories. I simply love every single detail from this collection or what do you think about it?... is it great or what?

It's been a while since I last posted some fashion illustrations, but the truth is that I couldn't find an artist that blew my mind with his or her art. 

I stumbled upon Meagan Morrison randomly and I immediately fell in love with her work! It's keeps being so refreshing to get inspiration from people that understand their passion and the ones who follow their heart to fulfill their dreams.

This hybrid denims (Jersey + Denim) are the coolest jeans ever. If you don't believe me just check out this awesome video the Italian brand made in collaboration with i-D Magazine.

This month it's all about holiday looks! Personally I enjoy this season because is full of parties and I got more chance to wear fun and sexy outfits for each occasion. 

I got inspired by this latest issue of Número France, were Charles Varenne styled the beautiful girl with feathers, leather and latex from designs of Alexander McQueen, Saint Laurent and Louis Vuitton. 

Photographer Greg Kadel created the perfect portraits to show a girl full of sexiness and attitude... something that I love!  

Lady Luxe

Vístete del color otoño este invierno 2013; marrones, toffe, caramel son algunos de los colores que migrarán de los desfiles de moda más importantes a las pasarelas de la gran ciudad. El sofisticado dramatismo, se llevará en ropa, accesorios e incluso en el maquillaje.

Texturas agradables al tacto, abrigos de pieles sintéticas mezclados con pequeños detalles en mangas y cuellos, son parte de la propuesta de muchas marcas. Prendas en limpios diseños que dibujan la silueta de la mujer son los protagonistas de la colección.
También encontramos piezas que combinan llamativos materiales como el satín y la lentejuela pero que son neutralizados por elegantes grises y negros que una vez más protagonizan esta tendencia.

Dominga es una marca de ropa que proyecta todas estas tendencias en cada uno de sus diseños y complementa esta sesión fotográfica, con las maxi piezas de la colección Otoño - Invierno 2013 de Swarovski, en donde se presenta una invitación conjunta a disfrutar de los excesos.

Oro, plata o bronce son los colores para iluminar cualquier prenda con un toque de glamour. Swarovski propone este mis de metales para utilizarlos de día o de noche. Esta tendencia aplicada a enormes collares, es ideal para dar un toque diferente a camisetas básicas y vestidos sencillos. Para aprovechar un look más original a la grandiosidad de los collares, se suman las pulseras y pendientes de aire vintage adornados con tachuelas, cristales en distintos tonos y todo tipo de abalorios.

Por otro lado, de la mando de Galit Levin y Axell Martell descubrimos la significancia del erotismo convertido en moda con una propuesta de maquillaje en femeninos tonos marrones y nudes. Los Make Up Artists, hacen énfasis en los ojos con trazos que intensifican la mirada de la mujer actual y le añaden elegancia al rostro. Los labios evocan sensualidad con la combinación de tonos vino.
Como una alternativa más, estos aristas evocan a la naturalidad y aplican un maquillaje sobrio con sutiles toques en amarillo en los ojos y un poco de brillo en los labios para endulzar la expresión del rostro.
Una mezcla de sencillez en los trazos con la rebeldía de los accesorios es el it de la temporada. De la misma manera, un make up que dramatice ya sea en ojos o labios, será el complemento idóneo para esta temporada.

Lady Baglady

I love editorials that have a story behind and this one is the perfect example. Nikolay Biryukov create a story inspired in Chuck Plahniuk's book "Hunted", which depicts a character named Lady Baglady who pretends to be homeless to escape the boredom of her wealthy life. 

Cristalizando Tradiciones

Mucha gente pensará que perder a alguien que quieres puede significar dolor y tristeza... para muchas culturas la muerte representa miedo, la perciben como el final de una vida....

Para mi la muerte también es el final de un capítulo, pero también el comienzo de otro; nuestras tradiciones siempre me enseñaron a no tenerle miedo, sino todo lo contrario, a la muerte hay que tenerle el mismo cariño que a la vida. Cada una de ellas representan ciclos y el balance entre mundos diferentes (como lo es el día y la noche, el blanco y el negro ó el yin y el yang).

Coats, coats, lovely coats!

Fall - Winter season is here! Colorful fashion gets served in structure shapes with dreamy prints. But if you ask me, I think coats will be the top trend for this season because they frame every outfit and make you look like a pice of art. We can find the perfect example in the latest spread featured in the October issue of ELLE US. Check it out!

Chanel have released the five new episodes of the series Inside Chanel: Once Upon a Time. They reveal more about the life of the brand founder, her origins and influences, and the secrets behind the brand's timeless style, according to Karl Lagerfeld.
