Gesichter - Jorge Tellaeche

Today I want to introduce to one of my favourite painters in Mexico. His name is Jorge Tellaeche and since quite a while I follow his work and I can tell you... I'm a fan of everything he does!

I had the opportunity to visit him at his studio for some drinks and a nice chat about art... Call me crazy but I felt at home immediately, talking about influences, inspirations, colors, music and creativity.

Jorge was fortunate to be able to study in San Diego for several years, but even though, he never forgot his  Mexican roots. In matter of fact, he took his Mexican-American roots and created a bridge between them. He calls himself "Pochito" because he still mixes both languages and enjoys to feeling in both of them. During the last four years Jorge has developed several projects in painting, graphic design and fashion.
He is the kind of artist that isn't afraid to experiment with new things; as a graphic designer he discovered his passion working with different people in the art scene. Even though he enjoys expressing himself in all kinds of visual arts, he decided to focus on painting, becasue that's what he loves most.
He has worked with international and national companies like Amnesty International Mexico, Adidas, Nestle, Hacienda la Lomita, Comex, among others.

Besides having his own web page where you can see his work, Tellaeche also writes his own blog where you can read about what he is up to;and trust me, since he is doing all kind of crazy projects it's quite helpful to understand his point of view or just what is on his mind while creating new things.
Nowadays he considers himself a fulfilled painter, because through his canvas he achieves to express his dreams, concepts, and ideas.

This is some of his work... I hope you like it!!

Fashion Paintings

As an art-fashion lover, I want to introduce one of my new favorite artists. Aga Baranska is her name and she stole my attention with her use of textured paint patterns, elements of collage and a big fashion editorial sensibility.
As you now, my mother is a painter and my dad is a graphic designer so I think this kind of art is exactly the perfect mix of this two worlds that surround me since I was little. It makes me happy when I found this kind of artist because somehow I get inspired by them and learn another point of view from the things a love the most.
This girl has such a wonderful paintings full of vibrancy and color and at the same time can maintain a contemporary-chic edge. I simply love it <3

Yolanda Rosa - Painter

Today, let me talk about somebody that inspires me every day. That person really dedicates her soul and love to everything she does. She is a true artist and has the gift to create wonderful pieces of art.
I'm talking about Yolanda, my beloved mother. Since I remember, I always want it to be just like her... Although I never did because I'm not so good with painting, but she taught me so many thing about perspectives, color theory and composition. Skills I apply in my everyday work as a photographer. It's because of her that I enjoy art in general and of course I am her number one FAN!!

She is into abstract art, a style I consider one of the most difficult ones because the paint is unique and every person might interpret it differently.
One thing that might surprise you is that if you ask my mom about the essence of her paintings, she most probably won't be able to tell you... Her approach is to start off from scratch and then follows the path of the colors... Till she is satisfied with the result, pure feeling!! I promise to show you more of her work in the future, but for now, here is a small footage of a typical day at the studio... enjoy!!
