Holiday Wardrobe 2014 - PART II

The year it's almost gone... how has your Holiday season been so far? I hope you've been doing great. As I promised, here it's the second part of my Holiday wardrobe ideas for this 2014. I hope last post gave you some good ideas, or at least it was a good excuse to play... AGAIN, with this fashion craziness.
I don't know if I will be able to post again cause my parents are coming to Richmond TODAY, so I will be playing tourist guide over this next weeks. I'm super excited to spend Christmas with my family and have the opportunity to show them my new neighborhood, jeje. I will try to stay connected, but if I don't, I want to wish you all a HAPPY MERRY XMAS & a HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

The lace dress
Nunca pasará de moda cualquier vestido con encaje. Este tipo de vestidos serán una salvación para esos días que no quieres esforzarte demasiado y que simplemente te harán lucir increíble. Yo compré el mío en BCBG, en las rebajas de Black Friday y la verdad es que a pesar de ser muy sencillo se ve divino puesto. Puedes coordinarlo con un par de tacones y darle ese toque chic con un saco o abrigo oversize. // A nice fitting lace dress never gets old. The best thing about a lace dress is that it's one of those things you can throw on last minute and know it looks good! I bought mine up from BCBG and it simply looks great every time I wear it! You can add a nice pair of heels and style it with a oversize coat.

If It Makes You Happy

Last Monday, I layered in yellow gold + leopard print + white skinnies and my Alexander Wang shades from H&M. If you would ask me to choose a personal favorite from this outfit, I would go for  my studded Schutz boots. Which topped off with a sassy fur (seasons must have), styled with my skinny jeans and a basic turtle neck form Zara, make the perfect match.

If it makes you happy... you shouldn't care about what people say about the way you look. Find pieces that make you feel comfy. So go ahead, mix it up and see what happens... You might be surprised :p  

Bright As Yellow

Me encanta reciclar ropa de las temporadas pasadas. La verdad es que siempre trato de tener en mi closet ropa atemporal, la cual me gusta rehusar como básicos agregando detalles de las nuevas temporadas. En esta ocasión quise crear un look con este tipo de prendas. Se que hoy en día la misma mercadotecnia te hace sentir mal si usas cosas "viejas", pero yo pienso que también tiene su encanto saber combinarlas y ver que puedes seguir viéndote cool en ellas.

Mi outfit del día de hoy combina estampados y tejidos con algunos accesorios brillantes. Perfecto para salir sin morirte de frío en el intento! El toque especial de todo el look es mi adorado Audacious lipstick "Charlotte" de NARS, perfecto para esta temporada de Otoño.

No shiny new pieces here... I decided to wear all recycled clothes from a few seasons or so back. It's fun to rediscover old gems from your closet. This outfit mixes prints from Forever 21 and knits by Zara and Pull&Bear with shiny accessories. I decided to wear my awesome Audacious lipstick "Charlotte" by NARS, perfectly synced with this fall season.

Fuel to Fire

Because last Friday was my last day in Richmond, I decided to wear this beautiful black dress from Need Supply. You can never go wrong with a black dress..., I have like four different dresses in this color and I can't get enough of them. I styled it with my black Schutz boots and a silver clutch by Aldo. 

So, so good to look pretty for my hubby and perfect to keep me in mind until we will meet again in one month (3 days before our big wedding!)

Denim Love

Hey dolls! Today's post is kind of special, cause it's my first collaboration with the Virginia Bloggers and I am really excited!!! 

It's been 4 months now since I moved to Richmond and all has been a roller coaster trying to start a new life here, preparing my wedding (this October!!), missing my friends and family, trying to get a new job and meeting new people. All of this could sound hard to swallow but the truth is that I like the way things are going and in the meantime take the opportunity to keep sharing my world with you through my blog!

The idea behind the featuring with VA bloggers was to create three different looks wearing the same statement piece. Just to have fun putting together different outfits for different moods. So I hope you like them and get inspired to look awesome, regardless of where you're going or what the occasion is. xoxo, Danny  

Shake it Off

Un combo con estampados y denim nunca las defraudará. Son perfectos para dar un look más relajado para ir al trabajo o para salir a cenar con los amigos. 

Al fin pude estrenar mis nuevos pantalones de Eurotrash, los cuales quedaban perfecto con mi blusa denim de Anthropologie. Si quieren que hablemos de accesorios, les puedo decir que siempre será buena opción usarlos en colores dorados (como mi collar de Topshop), ya que combinan muy bien con el denim. La verdad es que amo el impacto que este tipo de combo puede lograr... ¡Les prometo que no les fallará!

Who's that Girl

Finalmente pude encontrar un jumpsuit que realmente me hiciera bonita forma, es bastante difícil que con mi talla petite se me vea bien este tipo de prenda. La verdad es que moría por uno ya que pienso son super versátiles y puedes usarlos tanto con tacones como con un par de sneakers. Es una de esas tendencias que siempre me ha gustado y ahora soy más fan porque finalmente tengo uno que realmente me queda bien.

Por otro lado, es super divertido para combinar con accesorios, como por ejemplo esta visera de Saint Chic que compré en Nueva York... ¿no lo creen?. Para resaltar todo el look, usé mi brazalete dorado de Mani Maalai y mi collar de Forever 21.

Summer Breeze

Normalmente siempre soy yo la que esta detrás de la cámara, pero en esta ocasión quería aprovechar la ocasión de estar tan lejos de casa, para tomar unas fotos mías en uno de mis rincones favoritos en Basel, Suiza. Muchos de ustedes no saben, pero hace algunos años viví en esta ciudad y la verdad es que me enamore desde el primer momento... no solo porque es la ciudad de donde es mi novio, sino porque es como vivir en un cuento; digo, en general Europa tiene ese toque muy particular y este lugar donde me tomaron las fotos crea un entorno bello y sofisticado (casi mágico), el cual me encanta!

El nombre del artista de la obra maestra que esta detrás de mi, se llama Tinguely y es muy conocido por el tipo de fuentes tan características que hace. Y aunque en verano se ve así de hermosa, en invierno también muestra una belleza inigualable, invadida por el agua congelada que hace de las suyas para formar figuras al rededor de ella.

Cabe mencionar que nunca había podido disfrutar tanto de este clima de verano y la verdad es que si Suiza tuviera ese clima mas tiempo no me pensaría dos veces el regresar. Mientras el sol brillaba pude disfrutar de mis últimos días de calor antes de regresar a los días lluviosos de la ciudad de México, y créanme valió la pena!


Usually I am the one behind the camera, but this time since I was far away from home, I wanted to seize the opportunity to take some pictures of me at one of my favorite stops in Basel, Switzerland. Many of you do not know, but some years ago I lived there and the truth is that I love it from the start... not only because my boyfriend was born there, but because it feels like living in a story, in other words, Europe generally has that very special touch and the place I took the pictures has a beautiful and sophisticated atmosphere (almost magical), which fascinates me!

Jean Tinguely, the Swiss artist of the masterpiece in the background, is well known for the kind of sculptures and fountains that he built during his active career. He even has his own museum in Basel, very much worthwhile a visit. And although it looks amazing in summer, the cold winter transforms it into a unrivalled beauty, invaded by freezing water that looks like figures around her.

Unfortunately, I never had the chance to really enjoy summer in Switzerland while I was living there, but the truth is that if summer lasted a little longer, I would not have to think twice to return. As the sun was shining, I could enjoy my last days of warm weather before coming back to rainy Mexico City, and believe me it was worth it!
